Not only does the cpu run crazy but the imac 27 gets very, very hot. Plus I must tell you that the headset jack plugged in cause the Imac to run much faster in the cpu and get hot and often have power saver turn off issues, like not turning off the monitor or not sleeping. No one seems to have their imac working properly on the audio side who has read this thread.

If not, we know this problem exists for every w7 bootcamp user. If anyone reading this has the stereo mix on the w7 side, please let me know on this thread and maybe I can duplicate it on mine. We need apple support or an innovative person out there to solve these problems. The trrs headset like the iphone headset works fine with its mic in the mac side but not in windows side.ĭrivers to make the basic hardware in an imac or macbook work in windows 7 shouldn't be rocket science. This problem as well the cpu going 20 percent higher just plugging in a headphone, and the fact that the trrs headphone jack does not work on a trrs headset in windows 7 (including mic) is a real negative. This is one of the most basic function, full audio capability. This is an important basic function for any computer, and I can't understand why this is not supported yet?Īpple has used bootcamp to attract Windows users who want to use Windows natively. I also downloaded the cirrus logic drivers shown in another thread for macbook users, but still no stereo mix. I have the fairly useless digital audio s/pdif but not the stereo mix which is really needed in all kinds of recording applications. I have tried to download other sound card drivers and still no stereo mix recording or stereo mix playing options in sound! I am a professor and when I do screen capture of scientific clips I need I can't get audio to record except by the imac mic from the speakers rather than directly. I have a imac 27 running Windows 7 64bit and no stereo mix option.
